Writer Table Talk: SHENANIGANS

Narrow orange fallen leaves litter the lawn,

just as scary dark masks and Halloween skeletons

perch against my neighbor's brown door.

Day after day, my birth date draws near,

and will soon be here in a week.

This particular birthday gifts me with a Saturn return-

the planet Saturn will return to the exact sun

sign where it was at the time of my birth.

Spooky? Not necessarily.

To me, it’s an adult bar mitzvah,

my time to prepare adequately for my

role as a grown up on this planet.

I welcome growth and much-needed introspection

in a world of social fads, fucc-boys, and noise.

While I am a Scorpio, my Saturn return is in Capricorn ( . )

In the last year and a half, I have focused (most)

of my creative juices primarily into storytelling,

by way of writing, and that’s how I prefer that my

narrative is told at this time. It has taken me a

long time (and prayer) to arrive at the decision

to pause other creative pursuits like acting regretfully,

to focus on those above. At a later time in my life,

I hope to revisit my acting career and other

creative pursuits, but I am grateful for the beautiful

journey it’s been thus far, and I thank all of you

who've put in a good word, and

bought my books and novels.

will no longer exist. Consider the new name

Writer Table Talk. Here, I will provide bi-weekly

writing tips, and publishing insights to new and

expert writers, and of course all types of shenanigans.

WHO IS THIS NEW BLOG FOR?

For old-soul women writers who have an important message to
share with the rest of the world. Even if you don't currently
write, but have a burning message for the world, and want to
learn the important skills | tools, as well as understand
the BTS life of a writer- For writers who prefer quality work,
and respect great artistry over quantity.
We welcome writers at every level of experience:

newbies, amateurs, emerging writers, avid writers

and experts, connoisseurs, wordsmiths.
