My Cancun Wedding Guest Dress is so House Targaryen :)

Ah!  Cancun weddings! The holy grail... ❤❤

Who doesn't want to sit pretty on overpriced resort beach sand,

teary eyed, semi tipsy from a strawberry daiquiri
watching a couple kiss and promise to
live together forever?

I DO!  

and I wanted like to look excellent at it...

That's why I chose this dress, very much inspired
by Daenerys Targaryen 🐉 and Missandei's
 looks on the show Games of Thrones  It’s all here...💃

I received this dress complimentary from Amiclubwear. ($49 value)

It was a perfect fit for a special destination wedding.
Here is why... 💁

WHY THIS DRESS IS ON FIRE:👅💥💥💋💋

First of all, the price of this dress is insane! For less than $50, you can look formal and elegant, but maintain a tight cap on your budget. Any one feel me? Millennials? This is a Medium size. ( I usually wear 6-8 US depending on my weight swings. 😂   Now, let me go in details:

1. SLEEVELESS CUT : ( )

Targaryen fashion is usually sleeveless, and sultry (except of course for dramatic displays of power). That is a perfect reason for this dress! FYI, the weather is Cancun is bad shit crazy,
best described using lyrics from Katy Perry's song " Hot n cold".😒 On the wedding day, the temperature was literally hot as hell, but also very humid (80%) with a passing shower or two.  (polite words for it rained elephants and whales💔)
This sleeveless dress kept air flowing
through my skin, cooling me off from the heat, while absorbing the rain droplets so that my dress didn't look too wet when I dashed out of the chapel to pick up something from my room... and I am here for it! 👸

2. V NECK HA-VEN:

I absolutely die for this V neck plunge. In spite of her ferocity, the mother of dragons 🐉is a soft feminine woman whose fashion heavily features a V-neck. I am a 36 C ( low-key 34 D). ✌ So, this is how a Medium in this dress fits:

The medium fits a little lose, as you

can see. So I'd recommend going one size

down in this dress. (e.g choose a small if you are a medium.) 👂☝

On the wedding day, I opted for a push up bra

to make it fit more. This propped up the area, and showed a little less décolletage.

3. STRETCHY FRONT, SHEER BACK:

While the front fabric is stretchy, (hello curves)
the back shows Just a little skin. Just a sneak peak...

Adds all the mystery needed for your late twenties ;)
So no... you can't really wear any body shapers.
It would show in the back.

Not all sheer clothes are created Equal.

4. YAAAAAS TO THESE PLEATS:

When it comes to Targaryen fashion,
The mother of dragons and her confidante
are always in flowy skirts and pleats!

It Screeammmms class! 

I think these pleats help the gown flow freely

and add elegance to the dress. ❤❤

This is definitely a modern day "mummy gown".

It should own its own Twitter account. 😂

5. THE COLOR IS BAE ❤:

Targayens always wear cool color tones. 
I particularly liked Missandei's
outfit from Season 5.

and thought about it as soon as I saw this dress on Amiclubwear,
A cool almost black shade of blue
against my dark skin.

So for the wedding proper, I paired my dress
with a mustard yellow pair of sandals with clear chunky heels.
(also from Amiclubwear), and an Egyptian choker from Hodgson's Antiques (Dual Crossroads) , an antique boutique in South Pasadena.
