Dear Afrikan Girl, Entertain me Tuesday: An Open Marriage Invitation from Ambe?

AN OPEN MARRIAGE INVITATION?

Dear Afrikan Girl,
Kongossa dey o! Amebo dey o! JIST dey!

...

And no I'm not speaking of this wonderfully dressed African sister who slayed the red carpet at the Emmys...
UZO is Nigerian guys... and this red was absolutely va-va-voom!

BUT THAT'S NOT THE STORY TODAY...

I am ALSO NOT referring to this successful black couple who shut the world up by this beautifully intimate moment amidst the chaos of the VMAs... (Shout out to Jay Z and Beyonce, and of course that cutie pie Blue Ivy)

As Juicy as all that is,

I am actually speaking about the

new way to propose to a girl you like...

IT IS BY

SINGING YOUR PROPOSAL...

This technique is not necessarily new but more and more
Many people have tried it and it has worked in some circumstances...

Remember Travis Pitt, y'all? From America's Got Talent?

So it just so happens, that this is the new trend....

Proposing to a person you like, via music....

WHY WE LIKE IT.

1. Its romantic as hell!
2. It shows us how committed he is.

WARNING:

He better have a nice voice. or else. He might embarrass you on national TV, and the attempted proposal would lead not only to a denial, but a mockery on national TV. SMH. (Yeah, that stuff is messed up)

Oh my God, guys... remember this girl...

So what I am saying is...

Dear Afrikan Girl, If you like this guy and want to marry him/ date him,

forget cooking

or sexing

your way to his heart!

.....

JUST SING IT....

Take a look at some of these African singers, and their mentions to women they want to marry, or in some cases just 'do' or 'date'...

***

1)  FALL IN LOVE- DBANJ

We all fell in love with the ''sweet potato'' and ''sugar banana'' Oga Bangalee was referring to in this song.
If some one proposed to me like this, I would personally fall... the song was awesome, and the lyrics were 100% mwah. I LOVE IT!

On the same note, in his song OLIVER TWIST, he says...

''I like Beyonce''
''I like Rihanna''
''I like Genevieve''
''I like Omotola''
I like Nadia Buari''

Shout out to this smooth move*

2) CARO- WIZKID

So, erm... I don't think Wizkid particularly wants to marry a girl named 'Caro' in this song. The caro in question here is more of some ...

So yeah... moving on...

3) KUKERE- IYANYA

In this song, he says ''Yvonne Nelson I have your medicine''. Cough* cough* Enough said.

3) HEIN PERE- STANLEY ENOW

In this song, Stanley expresses his wishes to marry  Charlotte Dipanda, Ms. Fotso and Lady Ponce...
Three ladies for you alone, my dear?
I want to see how that turns out...
Well, he is a #BAYANGI boy, so I suppose he can handle that....

JUST KIDDING...

Anyways, big love for both the boy and the song...

4) MARRY ME- MAGASCO

In this song, Magasco touches our hearts with a beautiful video, starring a very beautiful chocolate woman, who looks authentic, as we like it here on Afrikan Girl Answers. He declares his affections for this girl, a la Maxwell... smooth and precise..

5) AMBE- RENDEZVOUS

In this absolutely dance-able song, Ambe expresses the fact that his dreams are far off from his reality.
He says in one of the lines ''A WAN  MARRY FONDUFE AND AMANDA NJONG''(I want to marry Fondufe and Njong Amanda). (Fondufe in this case, is me: Sahndra Fon Dufe).

And so as much as I love that song, and dance to it often,
this is my response to the song:

My brother, what to do think this Is? The 1960s? Yefon era? How can you marry both of us? Fine girls no pimples lol
Oga u must choose one oh!

NJONG AMANDA

NJONG AMANDA

NJONG AMANDA

But unfortunately, I am going to have to pass on this one, because you only want to marry us because we are

''fine girls whose papa get plenty money o''

JUST KIDDING!

I am already taken o!!!

But I have to give it to you! The song is out of this world!!!! waist shaking! choi....

6) ONE ROCKY- MARRY ME

In this one, One Rocky praises a beautiful girl that he wishes to marry and proposes to her as he sings, describing the flawlessness of her beauty.

7) I DON SEE MY WIFEY- DON TOM

Who doesn't remember this classic that went on and on forever in all African weddings a few years ago?
In this song, Don Tom has seen a girl he wants to marry, and he professes his love to her... It is so touching, and so sweet ... and most of all, one of the funniest African song love lyrics I have heard in a while...

''One plus one na one o eh eh'' HEHE

Oh , and BTW, the song has a remix with Waxdey.

8) NO ONE LIKE YOU- P SQUARE

These sexy brothers are legendary as far as African music is concerned!!! And so, not only are they professing their love to a potential ''wifey'', they actually are getting married in the video.

This was the official wedding song in soooooo many weddings, when it came out

And also, Obama and his wife danced to it!

KUDOS!!!

Until next time!!!
I love you all,
SAHNDRA FON DUFE...
